Creative Behavioral Consultants, Inc. is vendored by the North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) to provide behavioral services to consumers in the San Fernando Valley, Antelope Valley, and Santa Clarita Valley.
CBC is a contracted provider with the Westside Regional Center and the Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center. Westside RC's service area is roughly from Malibu (Ventura County line) to Gardena, and the Ocean to Vermont. The Lanterman RC service area covers Central Los Angeles, Hollywood-Wilshire, Pasadena, Glendale, Burbank, La Canada-Flintridge and La Crescenta.
We offer a full-spectrum of services vendored through the Regional Centers, including the 16-hour Applied Behavior Analysis Parent Education Course required by NLACRC prior to receiving behavior intervention services. The classes are provided in our Woodland Hills office from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please call our office (818) 932-9644, ext. 205, to find out the date of the next class.
After your case coordinator provides the necessary authorization, we conduct a thorough behavioral assessment of your child which leads to the collaborative creation of an individualized treatment plan. Behavior intervention services are then scheduled and provided in your home along with personalized parent and caregiver training.
North Los Angeles County Regional Center consumers requesting Behavior Intervention Services are required to attend a mandatory 16-hour Applied Behavior Analysis Parent Education Course. Please call us for information on our upcoming class schedule.
Creative Behavioral Consultants, Inc. is a Nonpublic Agency certified by the California Department of Education. We have a Master Contract with the Ventura
County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) which oversees special education programs for 21 school districts in Ventura County.
Services
to school district clients include conducting Functional Behavior Assessments to identify deficit and excess behaviors, developing Behavior Intervention Plans and Individualized Education Program Goals (IEP), and providing direct behavioral services to help each child achieve their optimal potential.
►Interventions are developed utilizing evidence-based practice of Applied Behavior Analysis. When appropriate, Discrete Trial Training is used to build new skills.
►Each child’s program is individualized to meet their
unique needs and assist in building self-help, social, and academic
skills.
►Strong emphasis is placed on acquisition and development of
communication skills, including augmentative methods when appropriate.
